Me @ Directions EMEA 2022

In a month or so (exact starting date is November 9, 2022) a new edition of Directions EMEA conference will start. Directions EMEA 2022 will be organised in from 9 – 11 November in Hamburg (Germany) and as usual hundreds of Dynamics 365 partners will be there to learn new things, share experiences and doing networking.

I will be one of the thousands of people in the Hamburg Congress Center for the 3 days of conference and I hope to meet everyone of you in person for a talk, for a pic or for a beer (feel free to block me if you see me walking around 😉 ).

I will also have 2 technical sessions in Hamburg. I cannot share more details now, but they will be “real-world sessions” where I plan to talk about how we handle and solve practical things on the field. The sessions are the following:

Advanced and proactive monitoring of a Dynamics 365 Business Central tenant

I think that everyone know that Dynamics 365 Business Central can redirect its telemetries to Azure Application Insights. This means that you can monitor what happens under the hood of your tenant and you can discover problems. But applying the standard telemetry practices could sometimes not be enough in a real world scenario.
How can you react on problems? How can you be proactive on receiving telemetry data without using the Azure Portal? How can you monitor multiple customers at once? How can you establish a telemetry practice that rocks also for your consultants? How can you provide a better telemetry experience for all your consultants?
In this session we’ll see how you can enhance your Dynamics 365 Business Central tenant’s monitoring experience by extending the standard Business Central monitoring features with new services that you can apply in your real-world projects.

Real world solution architectures with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power Platform

I had the pleasure to be invited by Josh to host a session together, but not about a specific topic or technology but instead on describing a real world project we handled together.

Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power Platform applications are a great combo for modern ERP projects. But when moving from demos to real world production usage, some questions pop out.
Are Power Automate/Pages/Apps solutions ready for mission critical production use?
Is my Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS solution well architected?
Are my integrations scalable?
Is my solution architecture ready for an enterprise world? Can it scale with my business growth?

If you want to join this session, we’ll walk through a real business scenario of “architecture modernization” which covers many critical operational processes and multiple systems working together (not only Business Central) and we’ll show you how we solved lots of business requirements. With support from Azure services and Power Platform we’ll suggest a best practice approach to dealing with high data volumes, complex file types and a positive UI/UX. This session will give you lots of tips for improving your real-world ERP solutions and solving real-world tasks.

Waiting for you in Hamburg then…
