This is a question that I’ve see in the air many times in these days. Many actual Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Business Edition users are worried for the announced “transition” to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and are asking everywhere when is the Microsoft’s planned date for this transition/upgrade.
A quick response on this question:
- The update will be handled as every previous platform update. Starting from yesterday, new tenants will be deployed to the latest Dynamics 265 Business Central platform update. Existing tenants will be updated over the next couple of weeks. There is no way to give an exact date but who cares? This is a “transparent” process for you. Just wait the next login and when you’ll see the new user interface, you’re on the new platform.
- The codebase is the same.
- Yes, data are preserved.
