Dynamics NAV 2009: what customers thinks about it.

Few months after the Dynamics NAV 2009 release, what customers thinks about it? NAV 2009 is not only a new release of the Microsoft's ERP, but it's an entire revolution on all the architecture (server side and client side).

I've collected a number of feedbacks from customers (mainly technical customers) and these are the results (for your pleasure ):

1) Why NAV is your ERP choice?

Customers loves the possibility to customize every part of the NAV system and (really interesting) NAV is considered to have a short go-live time (it depends on the Partner you choose I think... ).

2) About NAV 2009, do you prefer Classic Client or Role Tailored Client (RTC)?

Actual customer's doesn't like the actual RTC too much...

3) Why don't you like the Role Tailored Client?

NAV2009_Q3

The Role Tailored Client is considered less productive that the Classic client, expecially on filtering.

4) Do you plan to move on NAV 2009?

5) What's the main reason for choosing NAV 2009?

6) What do you like to have on NAV now?

The last question is what I want to forward to the NAV Team for th near future... Customers wants the possibility to integrate and extend the NAV functionalities directly with .NET. They ask to have a chance to integrate .NET controls on NAV forms, launch .NET code directly from NAV. I't a must... when we'll have it?

And... last but not least... better optimization on SQL queries. How many post I've written about this in the past?

I hope these results could be helpful for the NAV Team...
