Windows XP SP3 delayed?

I've just read this "wonderful" news from Bink: Microsoft has updated their Windows Service Pack Roadmap page with a new date for the planned release of Windows XP SP3: first half of 2008! :(

Why this? I know that 2007 will be the year of Windows Vista and all the Microsoft's energy will be on the new OS, but having a big update for Windows XP during the Vista's year is a must for every users.

Maybe Microsoft thinks that Windows Vista will replace Windows XP soon, but I think that the reality (expecially on the non-consumer side) will be extremely different. Windows XP will be the most used operative system on desktops for at least all the year 2007 and on realities like big companies it will be more difficult to replace the XP machines with Vista.

I think that having an SP3 during the half of 2007 could not be so impossible for Microsoft. Customers needs it...
