70-431 completed

Today I was in Milan for the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Implementation and Maintenance exam (70-431) (a future requirement for my company in order to maintain the Business Solutions competency).

The exam was initially scheduled for tomorrow but two days ago I had to re-schedule it for today due to working problems. My preparation was quite good (I had the previous experience of all the SQL Server 2000 exam) and I've tryed to increase the study of the new aspects that SQL Server 2005 has (Service Broker, CLR Stored Procedure, partitioning, new backup features, HTTP Endpoint etc.).

However, with a bit of surprise I've seen that there are not too many questions about these aspects and the main parts are about database objects, monitoring and troubleshooting and a bit of development. The result is a great pass and now I'm one of the new MCTS family.
